Hello

First,Congratulations,New Vision is the best Fallout 2 mod!

From Readme: New Vision v 1.2  Final version
Why must be final? This mod is like an expansion,it adds new quests and people built on the Fallout story at Arroyo and Klamath.There are no more towns and people to adress?New Vision has the potential and deserves to be continued in many cities.
What some people don't realise is that a total conversion game can't be as good as the original,a fan can't match a paid proffesional.But an addon,inspired from the game,can be,with hard work,as good as the main work,which in the case of Fallout 2 is (almost) perfect.

Now some impressions...

If I understand correctly,New Vision soul are the puzzled quests,and this is why you haven't a Walkthrough.But,note that the spirit of Fallout 2 is the liberty,and to always play the game with this mod (like an expansion),this spirit must be preserved.
Maybe it's an idea to be able to finish the quests in two ways,an easier one and a harder one-with much more experience?

Now,no Walkthrough,but an ammo/weapon table is absolutely necessary,even if it's a mini-spoiler,to know what you're doing when you play the game.I must make a chart myself to know how to play the next game after some months?The idea is to play almost all games with this mod installed...
(If someone find and post such a chart,I can comment some ammo changes which I can't remember now because I played some times ago.)
Anyway,my idea of fixing the AP ammo is to give it 2/3 damage mod (if it's possible from scripts),to preserve the game:this ammo must be worse than the FMJ.Raising to 1/1 means raising all ammo types accordingly,like they did in Survivor,which makes the game harder.
Also,I remember not changing the 5mm AP which still sucks
(I played New Vision 1.1),why's that?

And,now,the most important issue,this mod isn't compatible with Killap's patch.If I must choose what mod to play,I go with Killap,there are so many things which bugs me without it (the most important,Cassidy's combat options resets).The patch became a must,it's extremely important that New Vision to became friendly with it (or fix the bugs yourself,if it's impossible).

NV was a first big mod. A test of power . Test of scripting possibilities, new utils, etc. I think total conversion is a wrong way. We can't do better than it is. What we can do is add-on. As Mynah did with his AL. And, of course, we can do surprises . As we did with "MrFixit". So... wait for new surprises .

First of all, I must say that this is definately the best fallout mod I've played, and I've played alot of them. Poker alone made using your gambling skill actually fun. I do have a question, though. Where are the new negative karma quests? The only one's I'm aware of are killing the farmers who are trying to defend themselves against slavers, and killing the kid who was stealing vegtables (which isn't really a quest solution I just found no repercussions). I found mention on this board of an evil quest with Torr and Bhramin, though I could not figure out how to begin that quest. I also considered there might be a way to get the other trapper (not Smiley, forget the new one's name) mentioned by the Golden Gecko's bartender  to teach you to skin gecko's, found his location, but again couldn't find out how to even get an extended conversation with him. Also, when asking the same bartender if he had a job, even when my karma was negative he said "nothing that would intrest you". Perhaps there's a way to solve or at least pick sides with the Dunton/Buckner dispute, but once again cannot figure out how. Any help, especially with finding the 'scripting trigger' for negative karma quests in Klammath would be much appreciated.

Do not try to solve quests rigth after you've got them. Try to talk with the other NPCs . Forget about your past experience .

How do i put things together? I learned how to make armors and how to combine technical stuff. But HOW!? Is there a special window? A new skill?

I tried:

Putting stuff in hands. Nothing.

Putting one thing on the other in inv. Nothing.

Putting one thing in the hand, than the other on it...like reloading. Guess. NOTHING.

Look at the Chosen One (right clicks to make the cursor look like a spear then aim for the Chosen One, hold left mouse button and then in the dropdown menu choose the binoculars and release the button).

Could you be a bit more specific, Wastland Ghost? I've completed the mod several times already and am really at a loss on where the negative karma quests are.

Farmer Sam in Klamath says about Sajag. Thry to work with him . Then you'll be able to work with Duntons. And, if you have enough charisma, there is another one "bad quest" with some girl.

PS And don't try to save any missing people .

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll start a new game, keeping in mind that a conversation line with Sam is the key to talking with Sajag, and getting to work with the Duntons. I assumed you meant by not rescuing missing people, Smiley is that person, and I believe I discovered the high charisma 'quest' with a girl, if you mean the one you can convince to have an affair. Done her already. Thanks again, I'll be back if I run into any more problems, but I think I'll be able to figure it out with the hint you gave me. And again, I really, really like this mod. Great work!
