Hey all, I'm new to forums! Downloaded various patches and mods from NMA site to replay the good old fallout but I'm not sure what I should use...
What I have done:
Installed Fallout using Fallout_Setup_for_Win2K_XP.exe
*Backuped DATA folder and FalloutW.exe
*and in that order installed:
patch 1.2
patch 1.3.2
NPCmod (for unofficial 1.3 patch only)
Started Fallout... created a new char... but afther intro, when game should start, screen fades to black windows plays the default error sound and I the only way to close it is ctrl+alt+del.
I'm not sure what error is because all it says is: "Aplication error: FALLOUTW.exe"
So what could it be? What patches should I install? Thanks in advance!

1. What is exact version of the NPC mod? V 3.1 is the only one which workd well along with 1.3.2 patch.
2. What is exact version of your Fallout copy? Specify version number and release date found in the readme.txt on the CD.
3. Tell us size in bytes and MD5 sums for your master.dat and critter.dat.
4. Was your disk downloaded from some place on the internet or it's a legal purchased copy?

My legal copy exploded inside the CD drive years ago but I had a copy, lucky me. =)
Readme File - 29 September 1997 (Copy readme)
Used "Fallout_Setup_for_Win2K_XP" 264kb to intall
CRITTER.DAT - 21.440 kb
MASTER.DAT - 325.855 kb
I cant run the game unpatched on winxp as anyone else (I guess)
Any patches I use, no matter with one:
official 1.1 - 556kb
1.2 - 458kb
1.25 - 251kb
1.3.2 - 252kb
NPCmod - 31,4kb
I get the same error, with is:
Application Error:C:\Fallout\FalloutW.exe
An integer divided by zero was encountered at address 004b00e5
Click on OK to terminate the application

Are you sure that yuor copy is fully functional?

That's a correct date for the release 1.0.

I don't know this utility. It's better to do installation with your own hands.

I've been asking for size in bytes and MD5 sums. Current info level is not enough for diagnostics.

I don't understand this part. Does the game runs normally without any patches? Or it doesn't?

1.2.5 is not a patch at all. What installation orders and of which patches have you tryed?

Forguet it. Just checked the music files and they are corrupted. My disc is far too much fucked up maybe I download the entire fallout CD someday. Thanks anyway! =)
I'm installing fallout2 and it just works fine!
